How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?
We recommend reaching out 6 to 12 months ahead when you can, and shorter timelines are welcome too. Send your wedding date, venue or town, and whether you want photography, film or both. We will confirm availability and recommend the two collections that fit your day best.
-
Where do you photograph weddings?
Our team has artists in New York, Florida and Hawaii. In Upstate New York we regularly cover Central New York, the Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier and the Catskills, and we travel across the rest of the state, including New York City and Long Island. We also cover Central and South Florida, Tampa Bay and the Hawaiian islands, and we travel for destination weddings.
-
How much does your wedding photography cost?
Six-hour Upstate New York collections start at $3,085 for Essential Photography and $4,085 for Essential Photo + Film. For 2026-2027 weddings, most couples invest $3,800 to $4,300 for Essential Photography, $4,500 to $5,700 for Essential Photo + Film and $7,300 to $8,300 for Premium Photo + Film. These are planning ranges, not fixed quotes. Your investment depends on venue location, coverage hours, team size, travel and enhancements. New York City, Florida and Hawaii have their own regional pricing, and your proposal confirms the exact scope and price.
-
Do you also offer video services?
Yes. Photography is our lead service, and our in-house filmmakers can join the same team. Film collections include a 5 to 10 minute cinematic highlight film with professional audio and a 30 to 90 second social teaser. Premium film adds a second videographer and a complete film of the ceremony, entrances, speeches and first dances. In Upstate New York, Essential Photo + Film starts at $4,085 for six hours.
-
Do you work with assistants or other photographers?
Yes. We work as a team rather than as a single photographer. Premium Photography includes two photographers, and a second photographer can be added to Essential coverage. When you book photography and film together, our photographers and filmmakers plan from the same brief. We build your team around your date, venue and priorities.
-
What is a Wedding Experience Director?
A Wedding Experience Director is a BlackTie Brothers team lead included with Premium Photo + Film and available as an add-on. They help with timeline flow, family photo lists, small wardrobe or decor fixes and emergency supplies, and they keep our photographers and filmmakers focused. They do not replace your planner or venue coordinator.
-
How long will it take to see our pictures?
Essential photo collections include five edited previews within one week. Premium photo collections include 30 previews in about 2 to 4 weeks, and film collections include a 30 to 90 second teaser in about 2 to 4 weeks. Full galleries are typically ready in around four months and final wedding films in around six months. Peak-season volume can affect timing, and your agreement confirms your schedule.
-
How many pictures will we get?
It depends on your coverage hours and the flow of the day. As a guide, couples receive approximately 50 to 100 finished photographs per hour of coverage. We focus on a complete, consistent story of the day rather than a target number.
-
Will you edit all our pictures?
Yes. Every photograph in your gallery is professionally edited for color, exposure and consistency, then delivered as high-resolution downloads in a private online gallery. We edit to feel true to your day rather than to chase whatever is trending.
-
Can we see a complete wedding before booking?
Yes. Our website links to more than 60 complete wedding galleries and a library of wedding films, organized by venue and location. If we have worked at your venue before, ask and we will point you to that wedding.
-
What's your back-up plan if you can't photograph our wedding as planned?
Because we work as a team, your wedding does not depend on one person. Our artists are trained through the same core approach, and if someone assigned to your wedding cannot be there, we assign another BlackTie Brothers artist and keep you informed. We also back up files and equipment on the wedding day.
-
Do you have insurance?
Yes. BlackTie Brothers is a fully insured professional team. If your venue has insurance requirements for vendors, share them with us while planning.
BlackTie Brothers
About BlackTie Brothers
BlackTie Brothers is a wedding photography and film company with artists in New York, Florida and Hawaii. Photography is at the heart of what we do, and our in-house filmmakers can join the same team, so your photographs and film come from one plan instead of two vendors working around each other.
In Upstate New York we photograph and film weddings across Central New York, the Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier and the Catskills, from castle and estate venues to lakeside lodges, mountain resorts and family farms. Celebrations we have photographed and filmed include Stoney Creek Castle, Turning Stone Resort Casino, Allyn Lodge in Skaneateles, The Lookout at Greek Peak, Stonewall Estate and Graceful Gatherings at LedgeRock.
What to expect from our photography: natural, candid moments alongside polished portraits, with clear direction when you want it and room to simply be together when you do not. We plan portrait time around the light you will have and protect your time with your guests. Every image in your gallery is professionally edited for consistent color, from getting ready to the last dance.
How we plan: we start with your date, venue and the moments that matter most, then build a dedicated team around them. Our photographers and filmmakers share one brief and work side by side. Premium Photo + Film adds a Wedding Experience Director who helps keep the timeline, family photos and small details moving. We are fully insured, and because we work as a team, your wedding does not depend on a single person.
See complete weddings, not just highlights: our website links to more than 60 full galleries and a library of wedding films, organized by venue and location.
To check your date, send us your wedding date, venue or town, and whether you are looking for photography, film or both. We will confirm availability and recommend the two collections that fit your day best.
