What if it rains?
Rain is just one part of the story—we’ll make it work beautifully. I always carry clear umbrellas and will scout a covered or indoor backup location if needed. And don’t worry, I’ll stand in the rain so you don’t have to!
-
What if something happens last minute, and you’re not able to photograph our wedding?
In 15 years, I’ve never missed a wedding—but if something truly unexpected were to happen, I have trusted associates ready to step in. They shoot in a similar style, and I would still personally handle all the editing. You’d be in great hands, just as I’d want for my own wedding day.
-
Do you offer videography services?
No, I am strictly a photographer. But I can recommend some amazing videographers to have on your team.
-
Do you travel for weddings or shoot destination weddings?
Yes! With a travel fee assessed depending on the location of the wedding. I travel up to 150 miles at no additional cost on a wedding day.
-
Do you only photograph Catholic weddings?
While I do primarily photograph Catholic weddings, I also photograph all different types of religious and non-religious wedding days!
-
How long have you been photographing weddings?
Since 2010

Do you have a second photographer that you use regularly?
YES! My second photographer for 90% of my weddings is Megan, who I have been working with for about 4 years now. If it isn’t Megan, it is another trusted photographer that I have worked with several times before and trust with my whole heart.
About Cat Alkire Photography
Whether I’m pinning a boutonniere, fluffing your dress, or dancing along when Mr. Brightside hits the playlist—I’m all in. I bring a calm presence when you need to breathe, a pep talk when nerves kick in, and genuine joy for celebrating alongside you. With years of experience, I know when to step in, when to blend in, and how to make you feel seen and completely at ease.
A creative spirit from the start. I fell in love with photography early—running wild with disposable cameras and dreaming in art class. My entrepreneurial streak showed up just as fast, selling handmade boy band pillowcases in AOL chat rooms (yes, really) and custom picture frames on MySpace. I had an online shop before online shopping was a thing—and eventually, it all just clicked.
When I photograph a wedding, I’m not just thinking about how it looks today—I’m thinking about how it will feel 50 years from now. I’m drawn to the lasting impact these images hold—the stories they tell, the memories they preserve, and the love they quietly carry forward through generations. These images become part of your legacy.
