About Emily Scannell Photography

My love for photography started in the high school darkroom. I will be forever thankful to Ms. Morris, the high school photo teacher, and my mom, for always having her film camera in hand.

In 2008, I received my BFA in Photography and have been capturing the way couples and families love ever since.

Born and raised on Nantucket, I never tire of salt air, the ocean, and friends that go back as far as preschool, which is why I travel home as often as I can.

My work has been featured in magazines including California Brides, The Knot, BRIDES, and Dream Wedding Bali Style. I have also been featured in various blogs, including Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake, Wedding Chicks, The Bride's Cafe, and Utterly Engaged.

I’m based on Cape Cod, but willing to travel just about anywhere.
