About Hometown Flower Co.
Hometown Flower Collective, is a Long Island-based sustainable floral design studio and pop-up flower truck/cart. Founded by Jaclyn Rutigliano, a third-generation floral designer who observed firsthand how increasingly disconnected consumers and retailers are from the source and cultivation of their flowers, and her husband, Marc Iervolino, Hometown Flower Co. has worked to forge direct relationships with local growers since its founding in 2019 for their signature seasonal ‘Flowers in a Bag’ designs, delivery subscriptions, wedding and event design, and natural floral installations. During the warm growing season, 100% of their products are sourced from Long Island farmers through its commitment to support local agriculture and help minimize the carbon footprint of the floral industry. Since its founding, they've also remained committed to the avoidance of floral foam, a widely used environmental toxin, in favor of more environmentally friendly, recyclable and/or compostable design mechanics. Hometown Flower Co. is a member of the Slow Flowers Society, ASCFG and The Bloomlist. Its flower truck, nicknamed "Baby Blue," a 1976 Ford F-100 pick-up truck, and 1960 Vespa Flower Cart, "Bitty Blue," are available for flower bars, workshops, installations, photoshoots, weddings and special events, and more.
