I've carried a camera through most of my adult life. New places, new light, the face of someone I love. It became the way I pay attention.

What I'm after isn't the perfect frame. It's the moment just before it, and the one just after. The unguarded. The unstaged. The thing that only happened once.

I've spent more than a decade documenting weddings in New York and around the world. My work has appeared in the New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, and Vogue. But the images I think about most are the ones people keep on their walls.
