About Julie Hiles

From a very young age, Julie loved the glamour and art that graced the pages of fashion magazines and began a creative journey toward hair and makeup.  Julie studied makeup artistry while practicing her skill in the cosmetics industry. Doing makeup for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics all over Southern California Julie quickly became the top in-demand artist for events and major goal-setting seasons, becoming known for her unique gift of enhancing each woman’s beauty with flattering makeup styles and efficient application. Four years later Burberry Beauty launched in the United States at Nordstrom and recruited Julie; her role in training beauty advisers on applications and techniques launched her into the sights of major fashion companies. She went on to be the In-House Hair and Makeup Artist for two major fashion lines. Working on set daily cultivated Julie’s ability to create and adjust hair and makeup looks in any setting. Julie then set out to work on her own and has worked with major clients; among the list are Pacsun, Tillys, Forever 21, and Paige Denim to name a few.

Julie prides herself on her knowledge of color theory and product knowledge for optimal artistry. She consistently creates looks that satisfy her client’s desires and photograph flawlessly. Most importantly, Julie makes a genuine connection with every client with her inviting demeanor and deep desire to give the very best finished result to each person. Her most rewarding moment on every job is when her client looks in the mirror and Julie sees the radiant confidence in each one’s eyes. Julie maintains a busy lifestyle and when she’s not on set you can find her spending time with her family, paddle boarding, snowboarding, traveling, and petting any and all dogs that come within an arms reach.
