The most important thing to know about me when it comes to your wedding is that it's not about me, it's about you. My goal, first and foremost, is to capture gorgeous, emotionally rich images that will not only remind you of how you looked on your wedding day, but also of how you felt. From the time I arrive, I seek out those wonderful moments that are not posed or created but that just happen organically. Even when photographing your portraits I look for a genuine, emotional connection between the two of you that translates into those delicious, little candids and amazing images. We begin working on your wedding months before your the actual date by collaborating to ensure that your photos fit seamlessly into the schedule of the day. My approach is unique in that I include ten hours of photography for all of my weddings regardless of which package you choose, as I am inspired to tell your entire story from start to finish. The most wonderful pictures can come from that early-in-the-day anticipation as well as from the fabulous end-of-the-night party energy - that happens after the cake cutting - I don't want you to miss a minute of it. In addition to all of this, I aim to be as invisible as possible. One of the greatest compliments I regularly receive from my clients is that they don't remember my being there and taking most of the pictures, which is one of my most important goals. Especially during the ceremony, I strive to be discreet and unobtrusive and ensure that when you exchange your vows, the moment is about you and your beloved, and not about the photography. Finally, my commitment and attention to detail last long after the day itself as I take great care in designing each and every album with a particular focus on what made your day unique and special. No two albums are alike and each is designed in order to truly capture the textures, emotional moments and details of your own wedding. I only use the industry's most highly respected bookbinders to create hand-crafted, gorgeous albums that will become treasured heirlooms. I am always honored to be chosen to be a part of a wedding, as it is one of life's most treasured events and I take great care and pride in each and every wedding I photograph. Laurie Bailey has been photographing weddings and special events since 1992. She is known for both her images and her highly professional demeanor and discretion. Because of her reputation, she has had the opportunity to photograph His Holiness the Dalai Lama, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Barbara Boxer, First Lady Michelle Obama as well as many other high profile figures and celebrities.
