About Lulan Studio

Lulan Studio is a premium wedding photography and videography studio based in Los Angeles, serving Orange County, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Las Vegas, and travelling for destination weddings.

Founded in 2016 by Lulan Wang, Ph.D., the studio has documented more than 2,300 weddings and holds 35+ industry awards, with work published in The Knot, GQ, Vogue, Brides, Junebug Weddings and Green Wedding Shoes. We shoot digital alongside 35mm and medium-format film — Leica, Hasselblad, Mamiya, and Super 8 for motion — and run a dedicated cinematic video team, so photography and film are directed together rather than by two vendors working around each other.

At Lulan Studio the photographer who shoots your wedding is the photographer you meet, plan with and hear from throughout. We believe the work depends on that continuity, and the portfolio is the argument.

We have particular depth in multicultural celebrations — South Asian, Chinese, Persian and fusion weddings — and in multi-day events where the ceremony, the traditions and the family choreography all need someone who already knows what is coming next.
