About Noa Fineout
Noa Fineout’s fashion career began in adolescence when she taught herself how to sew on her late grandmother's antique Singer sewing machine, today a centerpiece of her studio. In 2017, after achieving a degree in Neuroscience, her pursuit of fashion confined to extracurriculars, she finally took the plunge, moving to Paris to pursue a post-graduate degree in Fashion Design.
Within the Ateliers of ESMOD Paris she received a rigorous education in technical craft, refining her expertise in the areas of draping, pattern making and construction, hallmarks of the French Methodology. After one year she left the program, having received the opportunity to intern at her favorite fashion House, Oliver Theyskens, for whom she later became Assistant of Collection Development.
Noa’s time at Theyskens, which began February 2020, embodies a purity of artistry surreal in the absence of its context. With the streets of Paris desolate, international suppliers shuttered, and nearly every House withdrawn from the fashion calendar, Theyskens’ small team of six resolved to present, and independently realize, an exquisite couture collection. In this unique environment Noa worked directly beside Theyskens, observing and internalizing his unique creative process, she perfected her knowledge couture technique under the Premier Atelier, and she studied corsetry under a member of Jean Paul Gauthier's atelier. Ultimately while at Theyskens, Noa was entrusted with the start-to-finish realization of numerous runway looks, including the extravagant SS'21 finale gown, and contributed to the development of pieces later acquired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
These experiences made Noa realize the inherent reward and value of independent creation, and crystalized her desire to launch her own brand, where she would be challenged to design and construct one-of-a-kind pieces for private clients. With a focus on bridal, occasion and corsetry, each bespoke garment aims to revitalize couture for the modern client, her timeless romantic designs anchored by luxurious materials and unparalleled craftsmanship.
Each wedding gown and couture garment is designed and made-by-hand at Noa Fineout's Los Angeles Atelier. Noa's bespoke process is founded upon creative collaboration between herself and the client, each stage uniquely tailored to the individual, and able to accommodate both local and remote brides. After careful assessment of the bride’s inspiration — including mood, style and silhouette — Noa designs a one-of-a-kind gown distinct from anything available on the bridal market. Once this preliminary design is approved, Noa collects the bride’s measurements and begins to drape, pattern and construct the muslin prototype - used to represent the garment’s silhouette and volume. The in-person fitting that follows is used to tailor the aforementioned prototype to the bride’s body and provides an opportunity to further refine the garment’s design, both at a large and minute scale. Finally, working only with luxurious natural materials sourced from Los Angeles, Paris and New York, Noa employs her vast knowledge of couture technique to realize her clients’ dream gowns. Following the special day Noa offers the unique service to transform the gown into wearable pieces. Many brides find this option exciting, as it allows them to re-experience the joy of wearing their treasured garment into the future, for anniversaries and other special occasions.
Since launching her namesake label in 2022 Noa Fineout has created bespoke garments for brides and VIP clients in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and more. She looks forward to continue adding to this story, as she has found her true passion working one-on-one with clients to realize their dream garments.
