I’m Matt. I’ve been photographing weddings for over 15+ years. I live here in Santa Barbara and as a local I know the ins and outs of this beautiful city very well.

I believe wedding photos are more than just snapshots. They are made up of the experiences that we hold in each moment. More than anything, I love creating an amazing experience for my couples and bottling up that experience in our photos.

The photographer you choose to be alongside you telling your wedding day story will play an intimate role in shaping your wedding day experience and how you view your wedding gallery. The personality and energy of your photographer matters. A lot! Finding the right fit with your photographer is everything when it comes to creating photos that make you smile when you look back at them. A relaxed and fun experience with the right wedding photographer translates to amazing wedding photographs and fun memories capturing those moments.

My personality is a blend between my creative artist side and my organized, Type A, attention-to-detail side that can spot a hair-tie on a wrist a mile away. I believe in ‘play’. Play is probably the least professional word to describe my approach, but after 15 years of photographing weddings, I’ve arrived at ‘play’ to describe my style. I love to play. When you play together, you forget the camera is there. When you play, you feel relaxed and comfortable. When you play, you are present in the moment. This is when you get those amazing images at the height of the moment where the expression captures the true sense of who someone is.

My style is not cookie-cutter; It’s as unique as your wedding day story. Telling your story visually starts with getting to know you both. I would love to meet you both over a video call so you can feel out my personality and ask me any questions you might have.
