About Subtle Cake Productions

Subtle Cake Productions is a specialist group of cinematic filmmakers based in Manhattan. Led by the creative direction of Drew Schlichtmann and professional editor/ colorist, Josh Barnes, we specialize in films that combine technical skill and artistic vision to produce boutique cinematic masterpieces.

While we can blend seamlessly in to capture candid, unobtrusive footage, we also have the creative direction and expertise to direct and produce stunning shots that highlight the beauty and joy of the event. We work closely with our clients and their vendors to ensure our client’s vision is captured and brought to life in a cinematic style.

We are career filmmakers, and our drive (nearing obsession) for the best quality possible sets us apart from both nationwide cookie-cutter production houses and photographers who offer both photos and videos in a single package. We're specialists, and we love what we do!
