Joy Lager is a freelance makeup artist available for on-location work, servicing all areas between Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown, WV. Bridal makeup is not only her specialty, but her passion! Having been in the industry since 2001, she received much of her training while employed as one of the lead makeup artists at 'The Salon' at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa; an award winning and AAA Five Diamond rated facility located in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern PA. Joy is a 2001 graduate of Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, holding current licensure as both an esthetician and nail technician. She is also employed as a freelance makeup artist by M. A. C. Cosmetics and earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Her work has been featured in several magazine publications, including WV Wedding, The Knot, and Pittsburgh Magazine Wedding Edition. She is a recipient of Wedding Wire's Couples Choice Award in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. She has also been voted as one of The Knot's 'Best Of' Wedding Picks from 2012-2015. Joy has worked with hundreds of bridal parties and brings years of experience, skill, creativity, and professionalism to every client she meets.
