I am dedicated to providing the highest quality photography, videography, and audio possible at an incredible value, focusing on capturing the raw, cinematic beauty within your most significant moments. Couples describe my style as intimate, surreal, and yes…cinematic. What does that word cinematic mean to me? I believe cinematic work feels more real than real. I do my best to capture things in this way, because it’s not just about documenting an experience, it is also about creating art. I created Bywater Lens to help preserve, curate, and celebrate your most important days. For larger projects, I hire the best local creative associates to expand my team. Together we guarantee that every frame of your story is rendered with the care it deserves.

When I relocated to Pittsburgh in 2021, I didn’t even own a proper car. I rented one every weekend just to get to shoots.

My name is Grahame Bywater and my production company is called Bywater Lens. I have been filming weddings full time since 2022. When I’m not editing video, I play guitar and pet my very fat cat.

Bywater Lens is my Pittsburgh-based digital film and photography studio. I capture weddings, events, and portraits using professional lighting and audio, as well as post-production and legacy storage for future generations.

I have filmed over 120 weddings. I step into the role of run and gun cinematographer with a specific vision. However, the most important thing is that you are enjoying yourselves. I still can’t believe how lucky I am to do this as my job. I get to document real people, real moments, and real emotion. That’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.
