About Chris Rorrer Music Services

Chris is a cellist, multi-instrumentalist, session musician, composer, arranger, music producer, and actor from Corvallis, Oregon. He earned his Master of Music in Cello Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University in 2020.

Chris's expertise is focused on cello, guitar, and singing. Based in Los Angeles, he has achieved success in the classical, pop-rock, cinematic, and improvisational/ experimental music worlds. He loves being of service, performing in numerous contexts, and enriching people’s lives with music. Authentic relationships, stylistic diversity, and integrity are what motivate him.

He believes that music is emotion communicated through sound, and he loves hearing the stories clients share behind the songs they request him to play. He dedicates himself to creating the most meaningful and fitting atmosphere for events.

Ready for any type of scenario, Chris often plays cello with a strap, dancing or walking around while playing to entertain guests. He can also amplify his instrument to create edgier, rock ‘n’ roll music or to achieve a “larger than life” sound.

Aside from making music, Chris enjoys speaking and studying Japanese, improv comedy, hiking, visual art, and road trips.
