After photographing weddings for nearly 10 years, I can't say I'd rather a different job; it's a love for people and photography, intimacy, celebrationsand fun. I strive to faithfully document my clients and their loved ones in the most beautiful and authentic way possible, trying to communicate how it might feel to be alive in the very second the photograph captures. Embracing the location and weather is all part of the job and I aim to keep the day simplefun and stress-free. I work closely with my couples so it's important that we're a good fit on both sides. My ideal clients are folks who appreciate photography andare excited to be active participants in creating beautiful, timeless photographs. Rather than orchestrating it, I let the day unfold organically, constantly moving, engaging, making portraits, playing with details and stealthily recording yourwedding day with grace and creativity. My natural inclination is to shoot in a documentary-style but I still believe in capturing a few family portraits. I usean editorial and fashion influence on you as a couple. I'll direct when necessary for the best possible light. I will get to know you, your family and your friends. The result is a classic collection of art + stories - a refined blend of sweetness, intimacy, authenticity and fun that will carry into the years afteryour wedding is said and done. Every wedding is as unique as each bride & groom, as each guest, and I strive to tell each complete story, with all the nuance of something as complex as love. I delight in the emotions involved and I feel very fortunate to be a part of so many important days. I recently moved from California to Ann Arbor, Michigan with my husband, our baby girl to be closer to family but I still work in California and in destinations beyond. I've been blessed to have photographed weddings from Switzerland to Tulum and my images have been published in numerous national magazines and high-end wedding blogs.
