About Hudson Filmr

Hey there! I'm Jay, born and raised in New York City and still a New Yorker. I have been creating videos for years and my specialties are wedding videos and cinematic family portraits. I fell in love with producing videos and shooting photos as soon as I got a hold of a camera. At first, it was fun beach films with my lifeguard friends (I'm an ocean lifeguard in the summers), then I began documenting my son growing up before moving to lifestyle and wedding videos. When I think about the enduring nature of today's digital media, I feel honored to be part of these legacy films that will eventually be viewed by several generations in the future. That thought makes me smile. When I'm not working with couples or families or crafting films, I'm helping families and teachers to understand children with disabilities. I'm a school psychologist, and part of my job is fostering and documenting social growth. Spending time, listening, and getting to know people is a massive part of my life. I love it when the films I create connect on a deeper level. It's all about videography that is cinematic and inspiring. Cinematic videography is the difference between high-end and low-end video production. There is a huge difference between a good film and a great film. I hope that you enjoy examples of my work.
