We are best friends, lovers, business partners, spend about 98% of our time together, and haven't gone crazy yet. The truth is, we work really well together. Yuriy started his photography business in 2006. A year later, he started bringing this girl named Julia to a lot of his gigs. In between shooting weddings together, we fell in love, started dating, and following the example of our clients, tied the knot ourselves in 2010!We understand that a wedding is an event (a wonderful, life-changing event) and not a staged photo shoot. Our job is to capture events and emotions as they unfold without getting in the way. The bride and groom shouldn't feel pressure to perform on their wedding day. Our images are the product of our photojournalistic styleÛthey tell a story, they capture real people, they notice the details. We are passionate about getting to know our clients and sharing what we know artistically through our camera. We consider ourselves immensely blessed by God to do photography full time, work together as a couple, and travel for work. When we're not working, we'd rather be outdoors more than anything. We adore living in Seattle because we can go hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and skiing close to home. . . then go to a concert, visit the theater, eat some good food, and experience art that is found in the city. Julia likes graphic design, making stuff, and thrifting. Yuriy likes reading non-fiction, driving his BMW 2002, and sailing. We both love mid-century design and making our house a home. Immediately following our wedding, we took off to see the world on a 6 month honeymoon through Europe, Asia, and Australia. We started a blog to chronicle our trip, and continue to share our travel photos there.
