Melani Lust is a documentary wedding photographer based in Westport, Connecticut and Luxembourg City, with a practice spanning New England, New York, France, and Europe.

Trained as an art historian at New York University and formerly an authenticator in Sotheby's 19th-Century European Paintings , she brings a refined visual perspective and a genuine understanding of people to the celebrations she photographs. Her work is guided as much by emotional intelligence as artistic observation, allowing her to anticipate moments, move through the nuances of a family gathering with ease, and create photographs that feel both beautiful and profoundly personal.

Since 2007, Melani has documented more than 400 weddings. She is trusted by couples, families, and planners who value discretion, connection, and a highly personalized experience. Known for her calm presence and meticulous preparation, she approaches every wedding with the belief that the photographs most treasured decades from now will not simply be the most beautiful, but the ones that preserve the relationships, atmosphere, and emotions that made the day meaningful.
