About Millers and Makers

Millers & Makers began as a family bakery and flour mill created by Josh and Jess Pickens. Millers & Makers recently expanded from their first location at Smorgasburg into a bespoke cake studio and bakery in Ridgewood, Queens. Millers & Makers first formed a love for baking during their time at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Over time, Millers & Makers fell in love with milling and the beauty of grain. At Millers & Makers they want the grain to speak for itself in everything they make, whether that’s bread, cookies, or cake.
