About Mirla Jackson Cakes
Mirla Jackson Cakes is a world traveler and a foodie spirit. The Imaginative Cupcakes, Luxury Wedding Cake Designs and artisanal confections are the creations of New Jersey/ New York based artist and Pastry Chef, Mirla Jackson.
With over 15 years of industry experience, a Fine Art degree from Kean University and a Culinary Degree in pastry arts, Mirla then went on to continue her exploration of art and cake design at the prestigious Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts in Toronto, CA. While there she Apprenticed with Allexandria Pellegrino from the famed Cake Opera Co. She has studied under Maggie Austin, Jasmine Rae Cakes, Nadia & Co and many more, before opening her first bakery in Lyndhurst, New Jersey in 2018. Mirla Jackson Cakes is a new cake Studio concept where art and design take centerstage.
Attention to detail and a unique eye for design and color, Mirla is known for making cakes that are not only stunning to look at but delicious works of art. “The underlying philosophy behind my work is to inspire. As an artist you design a cake with an initial intention, but I always leave room for exploration and play, that happens as you are creating, that’s where the magic happens”
