Who am I? Foremost, I am Cassandra Bivans, child of God. Second, I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister and a U. S. Army veteran of nearly a decade of proud service. I am also the owner and chief executive officer of Soir»e Pines, Moore County's premier event planning and design management company. Some ask, what motivated you to choose event planning as your career? In all sincerity, it started with learning how to embrace being a full-time homemaker post military service. I've always had a passion for creating esthetically pleasing, clean and welcoming spaces. Through creating a warm environment for my own family and friends and experiencing fellowship in the homes of my dearest friends and church family, I've learned that curating a welcoming and entertaining experience for others is a genuine way to express love for others. Themes of hospitality, celebrations, feasts and weddings are all common place within the context of my faith. When Christ wanted to communicate to His disciples what His Kingdom was all about, He did so over a celebratory meal. When Jesus wanted to convey His Father's love for prodigals like you and I, he told us about the great banquet the Father held in honor of His son returning from death to life. Christ's first miracle and the institution of his ministry occurs at a wedding in Cana. The promise of uniting a family of both Jew and Gentile began some 4,000 years ago in the Middle East when Abraham attended to travelers passing by unaware that they were divine messengers of God.
