About Yannis Malevitis photography
Yannis is a former economist / financial analyst. He holds an M.Sc. in Finance and an MBA. He started photographing weddings in 2010 as a part time job. In 2012 he decided to pursue his passion and quit his job in the corporate world.
He specializes in fine art photojournalism using both Canon DSLRs and Fuji medium format cameras. His favorite lenses are the Canon 35mm 1.4, Canon RF 50mm 1.2, Zeiss Otus 100mm 1.4 and the Canon 200mm f2 IS.
He enjoys capturing emotions in human interactions. He likes to stay in the background as a quiet observer, let the events of the day unfold naturally and just be prepared to capture them as they happen.
Yannis lives in Long Island, NY with his wife and his two daughters.
