The Aquarium of the Bay is San Francisco's premier waterfront Aquarium overlooking the San Francisco Bay located next to historic Pier 39. Inside our building are over 24,000 animals native to the Bay and found off the California coastline. Immerse yourself in our large tunnels downstairs where you can watch sharks, rays, and other animals swim overhead. Stop by our interactive touch pools where you can touch a sea star or even a bat ray and don't forget to  say hi to our adorable and playful river otters

Step outside onto our panoramic outdoor balcony where you can watch the sun go down and the city lights come alive!
