A charming old 1890's barn, a cozy cottage, and a beautiful vine covered pavilion all surrounded by a Northeast Kansas tall grass prairie.  Imagine this as the setting for your wedding!  Big views of the forested Delaware River Valley make for fantastic sunset photos. Jeff and Rena Kilgore, owners of Just the Place, live onsite in a stone house which becomes the exit point for the bride and her entourage to begin the walk down the aisle. 

We host only one wedding per weekend so we can give our couple 100% of our focus and efforts to make the day a perfect one.  Friday provides plenty of time to decorate, rehearse, dine and relax with your closest family and friends, while Saturday is full of excitement, getting ready, and getting married!  The real fun begins with the reception as all your guests celebrate with you inside and outside the open barn where there is plenty of room for yard games, dancing, roasting marshmallows in the fire and other shenanigans. 

Don't worry about cleaning up when you're tired Saturday night and you'd rather relax and visit with family and friends who've come from far away to see you.  You'll have Sunday to sleep in late then gather your things.  You will have full access to the property and house Friday through Sunday to take all the time you need.  We provide this at a cost less than most other venues charge for a single day! And to save even more, you can choose any vendor you wish for music, food & drinks, photography, etc. Or maybe even have family and friends do some of those things for you!  You may bring your own alcohol as long as you have a "host liquor liability" policy (ask your insurance agent - it should only cost $50-150).
