About Spillian

Spillian is a magical place to celebrate your love, from rehearsal dinner, to ceremony, to reception, to lodging for members of the wedding party or family. We have a full commercial kitchen and full liquor license, and can offer you catering or work with approved outside caterers, and we have lovely grounds (33 acres) with small meadows and mature forest with hemlock groves just adjacent to the main house. We offer two options for weddings˜ElopementsLooking to get married in an intimate, romantic spot with just a few friends and family? We can dream up the perfect elopement to the Catskills with you, for up to 20 guests. Easy, seamless, exquisite; we'll do all of the worrying for you. Ask us for details!Traditional WeddingsWe're also delighted to host traditional weddings, for up to 100 people. (Ask us if you're interested in going larger than that and we can work with you to decide if we are the best venue for you. If you're looking for a great spot to really party hard, we can guide you to venues that are better suited for you. )Check out our growing gallery of pictures from celebrations at Spillian˜We can provide everything you need for a weekend destination elopement or wedding, such as:A Friday night reception or rehearsal dinner with live music (we have an antique Steinway and a concert grand harp and know great musicians, from string quartets to jazz combo's), a special wine or spirits tasting, or even a video setup if you'd like to share family history. A Saturday breakfast and lunch, yoga class for your guests, in-house massage and spa treatments, and opportunities to explore our lovely forest. For your more energetic guests, we are delighted to book guided hikes, kayak paddles, fishing adventures, farm, market, or gallery tours, or other area activities with one of our great organizational partners. Of course, the ceremony. We can find an officiant and musicians for you, flowers, photographers, and more. The ceremony can be inside, or on our remarkable porch, in a tent in one of the hidden meadows, or even in the grand cathedral of the hemlock groves. A grand Saturday evening feast. We can seat 20 around our dining room table (and more in our sun room), and we can arrange for a tent set up for groups over 50. After dinner, depending on the weather and your fantasies, we're happy to light the bonfire outside or stoke the fires in the fireplaces inside, and of course can make music happen if you'd like. Dancing? Let's talk. And our porch is the perfect spot for port and cigars as the stars come out. Sunday, along with breakfast, we're happy to offer another movement class (on our porch or in front of our fireplace!), or to organize other excursions. We can offer an elegant brunch or pack lunches for your guests' trip˜your call˜By the way, if you're dreaming of a themed wedding, Spillian is the perfect place for an Edwardian, or Prohibition era, or even a fantasy faerie or Steampunk themed wedding. It is such an evocative place! We have an amazingly talented chef and contacts with local food providers and specialty chefs so we can meet any of your menu desires. We can build a custom wine, beer, and spirit menu for you, introducing your guests to any of the artisanal distilleries and breweries in the area or from around the world. We are happy to explore any idea that you might dream up.
