About Woman’s Club of Hollywood
The Woman's Club of Hollywood has been a part of Hollywood history for over 100 years. Once known as "The Heart of Hollywood", the club was founded in 1905 to build the first Hollywood Public Library. Those founding women were involved in creating the Hollywood Bowl,the Hollywood Studio Club and supported a wing of the Hollywood Hospital. Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford were part of the early club years ó the piano Chaplin played remains on our stage. The WCH has hosted Hollywood luminaries such as Gloria Swanson, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper,Tippi Hedren, Gary Cooper, Steve Allen and Melanie Griffiths. Jean Harlow and Douglas Fairbanks attended the on-site Hollywood School for Girl's, where Edith Head taught. That historic schoolhouse is behind our main clubhouse. This beautiful Spanish-style building radiates Old Hollywood charm. Unique vintage details like original wood floors, a stage, and elegantly draped curtains adorn the auditorium. The lounge is cozy and intimate, with antique furniture and rugs, this is the perfect place to have a cocktail or kick up your feet after dancing all night!The bridal suite has ethereal lighting and is decorated with antique chairs and tables, perfect for getting ready on the big day. Fully equipped with a professional, restaurant-style kitchen, we are totally ready to accommodate any catering team, no matter how lavish the menu. Features a huge on-site parking lot, which can easily accommodate 75 cars, and even more with the help of a valet service.
