ABOUT CASSIE
I’m often told I have a calming presence that makes people feel at ease. I like to think that’s because Southern Hospitality is embedded in my DNA. I know that being photographed can feel a little awkward at first, so I bring this calming energy, thoughtfulness and care to every wedding and session. At the end of the day, my goal is to make sure every person who steps in front of my camera has fun and is left with beautiful photos that truly feel like “them.”

MY APPROACH
My goal is to be everywhere, but nowhere at the same time. My main focus is to capture moments big and small, the in-between moments, and the candids. I’ll capture the day as it unfolds without being intrusive and in your face, because the last thing I want to do is ruin your experience at your wedding. I’ll survey the room, observe your guests’ reactions and anticipate moments before they happen. Hugging loved ones. Your best friend and her partner holding hands under the table. Reaching over the table to kiss your sister on the cheek. The moment you’ve exited your ceremony, you look at each other and it sinks in - “We did it! We’re married!”

This is your wedding day - not a full-day photo shoot. Aside from formal portraits, I won’t be directing you. You’re here to enjoy your wedding day and be in the moment. I won’t constantly tell you to look at the camera. I won’t pull you away from your reception for sunset photos, unless you need an excuse to leave the party to have a moment alone. Once you’re at your reception, your only job is to drink some bubbly, celebrate with your loved ones and hopefully, forget that I’m even there.
