Love Is Love
About Love Is Love
I have officiated over 100 weddings for couples from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions in a wide variety of settings. Ordained in the United Church of Christ, I have served as pastor to five congregations and as chaplain for two social service organizations. I received my Master of Divinity Degree from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary on Northwestern’s campus in Evanston Il and my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Champaign.
For the past 17 years, my work as a chaplain to teenagers and then to seniors has been tremendously rewarding. It has been challenging as well - first dealing with trauma the teens endured and then with seniors at the end of life. To achieve some balance and perspective, I began officiating weddings as well.
I love working with couples, getting to know them, and helping them celebrate the happiest day of their lives. Over the years, I have officiated over 100 weddings for couples from various or no faith tradition in a wide variety of settings. A portion of my wedding fees also helps support The Silver Fork program Hosted by Center on Halsted. It is a short-term culinary arts and job readiness program for low- income members or allies of the LGBTQ community which is free of charge to all participants.
My husband has been my soulmate for 15 years. I would love to have the chance to honor and celebrate your special day with you. Please contact me to set up a free consultation.
