She is passionate about documenting people's stories and telling them earnestly while admiring the beautiful artistry of the world around her. Her editing style is inspired by timeless nostalgia of her parents' award-winning film wedding photos, which keep her parents' skin tones -- as a biracial couple -- true and flattering. Maia believes that if your family and friends start asking around about how you know her on your wedding day, mistakenly thinking she's a guest or just a really good friend with a camera, she has done her job correctly. She is inspired by nature, sunlight, music, color, architecture, film, and so much more.
