About Sara Hasstedt

I believe a kind smile is a girl's best accessory (and a little lipgloss never hurts either. )Speaking of that, my husband thinks that 20 shades of pink and red lipgloss is more than enough, yet I somehow always manage to find a little extra room in my purse. And makeup bag. And glove box. I believe in creating new traditions, even if that means breaking some old ones that are no longer meaningful. I love the old-fashioned romance of drive-in movie dates. A packed picnic dinner snacked on under a blanket on the hood of the car while counting shooting stars is my idea of perfection. It also describes my first date with my husband. : )I believe in marriage with all of my heart. Falling in love is an emotion but staying in love is a choice. Anything worth having is worth working for. In the movie Sabrina, Audrey Hepburn learns how to crack an egg in one hand. Since seeing this, I decided it was a skill every girl should master and I've been perfecting the art ever since. I believe love should be like a sparkling moscato. Bubbly, playful and sweet. I'm not at all embarrassed to admit that I much prefer spending Friday nights at home than out shaking my booty at a club downtown. Being snuggled on the couch with my hubby, a good movie & Thai take-out fills my heart. I believe in marrying your best friend. Who better to share your dreams with?If it were up to me, cake and cookies would be considered official breakfast foods. If we go out for breakfast, I may just order a hot fudge sundae. On Valentines Day I never get red roses. My husband brings me vases filled with colorful poppies, blooming peonies and delicate ranunculus. He definitely knows the way to my heart. Forehead and nose kisses are the best kind of kisses. I wear makeup to yoga class and while camping for no other reason than I think primping is fun. Oh, and because I can. I believe in showing affection. In holding hands, kissing and lots of snuzzling. I believe that being feminine doesn't mean you are weak. I appreciate the gesture of a door held open for me even though I could open it myself. I believe in wearing lace, in decorating with colorful floral patterns and in embracing pink.
