About Zena Strings

Our name, Žena, means “woman” in Czech- A nod to our affinity for Czech composers, our first violinist’s Czech heritage, and the fact that we are four female musicians emboldened by our collaboration with one another.

Žena Strings is a versatile group offering classical and modern arrangements, open to creative venues and performance opportunities. We are locally based in Columbia, SC with room to negotiate regional travel.
