About 440 Elm
440 Elm is a newly renovated historic venue located centrally between Los Angeles and Orange Counties in downtown Long Beach. Built in 1913 by noted local architect Elmer Grey (Beverly Hills Hotel, Pasadena Playhouse, Huntington Library, Caltech) in the Renaissance Revival style, it has a grand ballroom that is one of the largest non-hotel ballrooms in the Southern California region. 30' coffered ceilings, bright multi-story stained glass, original Tiffany-style leaded glass doors, decadent chandeliers, and an adjacent black and white diamond floor in the foyer create an elegant yet un-opinionated ambiance. A matching outdoor Plaza allows for the combination of an indoor and outdoor wedding for parties as large as 450 with no flip required.
440 Elm is operated by high end Los Angeles caterer Bite Catering Couture and leans into Chef Elizabeth Goel's focus on serving clients with highly personalized and thematic menus and beautiful presentation.
