Maricopa Gardens is a private ten-acre estate in the hills above Ojai, California. The grounds were designed by architecture landscape studio Terremoto and planted with coast live oaks, Matilija poppies, coastal sage, deer grass, and wild bunch grasses — native plants that have shaped the character of this particular hillside for years. Ninety minutes from Los Angeles, five minutes from downtown Ojai, the estate sits quietly above the valley with open views of the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Los Padres range.

The estate offers two distinct settings for ceremonies and receptions. The Poppy Meadow is an open hillside garden where Matilija poppies and wild grasses frame a natural ceremony space with unobstructed mountain views. The Los Padres Oak Grove is a canopy of ancient coast live oaks that provides a natural ceiling for long-table receptions of up to 150 seated guests. Maricopa Gardens is a venue rental — couples bring their own planning and vendor teams, with no restrictions on who they work with. One wedding per weekend means the estate is entirely private for the duration of your event.
