As a professional journalist turned wedding photographer, I see the world in stories.

I’ve always been obsessed with capturing stories. For me, telling stories takes us out of the mundane and into the big picture of our lives, my favorite place to be.

I started Julie Kay Kelly Photography in 2007, bringing the same storytelling approach into documenting people’s lives through time. Wedding days always contain treasure troves of stories, and it’s been an honor to capture each one over the past 15 years.

My intention every time I’m photographing is to capture and reflect back to my clients how fleeting and beautiful each moment truly is. And to give them the ability to relive and reflect on those moments for decades to come.
