About Lisa’s Catering

Lisa Olson began her career in the food service industry when she was only 16 years old. After 20 years in the restaurant business, and a great love for food, she decided to open her own bar/restaurant in her hometown of Anoka. While running the restaurant, she began catering daycare centers and daily dinners to a local senior citizen community. She quickly realized that she had a knack for the catering business and decided to focus her energy on catering exclusively rather than running a restaurant. She built her commercial catering kitchen and began catering to senior citizens, weddings, corporate clients and day care centers. Lisa's daughter, Jamie Sinkula, joined the Lisa's team in 2006 and came on as the sales and marketing manager. She revamped the website and marketing materials and began meeting and communicating with wedding and banquet clients. We have increased our marketing budget annually, and pride ourselves on being a prominent player on the internet wedding planning websites. Jamie Sinkula is a member of the Twin Cities Wedding Professionals networking group, and strives to network with other local professionals. She has focused her energy on gaining contacts at local venues, and is proud to have Lisa's Catering listed as preferred caterer at many fantastic locations throughout the Twin Cities. When Lisa founded the business in 1991, she focused on keeping her prices low to allow for customers with all budgets to use our services. Over the years, we have began to offer higher end services to our clients, while still keeping our prices as low as we can Ò recognizing that the budget is important.
