About Sara Lasher Weddings & Events

Since our start in wedding and event planning in 2012, we’ve participated in several hundred weddings and events in southern Louisiana and beyond. We are smitten with tradition. We adore all things modern. We love fresh ideas. And we thrive under new challenges. 

But event planning is not one size fits all. We are happy to help as little as or much as you see fit. Each tier of service is thoughtfully catered to suit a variety of clients and their needs, but one service you will not find here is "day-of." Why not? Well, in short, there's simply no such thing! In my experience, it is just not possible to ensure a successful event without a month of preparation and fact-checking with every vendor involved at minimum, and if nothing else, we are proudly walking, talking insurance policies for success. Success takes time, and we have proven that over the years.

While planning, we found there to be a gap in luxury rental options in this corner of the state, oftentimes with the only way to get elevated pieces here incurring a minimum order. Sometimes, not always, those minimums were as high as $10,000 - $50,000+ depending on the vendor, and we watched as clients compromised until their visions were no longer recognizable. That played out for years... before we decided to do something about it. We are ecstatic to introduce select rentals, and we are thrilled to partner with existing planning clients, new rental clients, and vendor rental partners alike.
