About TENTHIRTY FILMS
WHY "TENTHIRTY"?
When I was a kid, my dad, John, was killed in a car accident on October 30th. Keep going. I promise there’s a happy ending…
Decades later, I found myself engaged to the woman who is now my wife. We wanted a fall wedding, and we knew where we wanted to get married. There was just one problem: it was only available on 10/30.
After some thought, we decided to take a sad day and make it a happy one. And it was—the best day of our lives until our kids were born. I have no doubt my dad would’ve approved of the date, and the woman I married.
So, “TENTHIRTY” means a lot of things to me now, but mainly, it’s a reminder that while we can’t always choose our circumstances, we can choose how we respond. I choose love.
TENTHIRTY FILMS is a way for me to honor my dad’s memory by freezing my clients in time on the best day of their lives—and not just for them—but for everyone who ever has or ever will love them. When you work with me, you’re getting more than a wedding film. THIS IS A FAMILY HEIRLOOM.
A BIT ABOUT ME...
I’ve lived in the suburbs of Detroit for most of my life. I’m happily married to my wife Jess, and proud dad to our amazing kids: Ellie (inspired by ‘Up!’) and John (after my father). We are also proud parents to the world’s goofiest yellow lab, Noodle, and a distinguished tabby, Snooki.
I absolutely believe that I was put on this earth to tell inspiring stories, and despite building a successful career in the corporate world, I decided to do the unthinkable and be an artist for a living. I have had zero regrets since making that change. I love what I do, I love my clients, and I have never been happier.
When I’m not telling love stories, I’m making my kids—and occasionally my wife—laugh with lowbrow humor, writing music, doing projects around the house, or relaxing up in northern MI.
