About Old Bethany
Rachel and Luke Whyte have had a dream of owning and operating a wedding venue for years. After working in the wedding industry for five years as a photographer, Rachel had a vision of building a beautiful space in central Texas for couples to get married in. In the fall of 2016, they decided the time was now and began to take steps toward making that dream a reality. The first thing they did was invite their friends, Ben and Skylar Worley and Nate and Ali Sloan, to join in as partners. The Whytes knew that they wouldn’t be able to do it on their own, and what is more of an adventure than going into business with your closest friends?!
Our venue is a 6500-square-foot white barn nestled in the middle of a grove of beautiful Texas oak trees. The barn rests on 100 acres of open fields and scattered trees. Whether you envision saying “I do” outdoors in the fields or in the woods, or indoors with air conditioning, we can accommodate either wish. Our 35-foot barn has a large covered porch adjacent to a 30’x80’ turf lawn with string lights hanging overhead. The downstairs area is comprised of the 3500-square-foot grand room, foyer, a spacious prep kitchen, and beautiful bridal suite. Upstairs is the groom’s suite and office, as well as a balcony that overlooks the grand room.
