Emily and Alex married at Brindare Napa Valley in Napa, California, with a ceremony in the venue's olive grove and dinner for 130 guests at long tables set on custom flooring among the vines. Stone urns of greenery and citrus, white sculptural chairs and green-and-white tablescapes framed the reception against the surrounding hills. The indoor after-party shifted to deep orange velvet draping.
A Closer Look
Everything at Emily and Alex's wedding starts with the dress: cream, strapless and pleated from bodice to hem, with a peplum waist that gave the skirt its sculpted flare. Set against the olive trees and vineyard rows of Napa, it read as architecture in a natural landscape, and the rest of the day followed that pairing.
With Carly Saber Events, the couple shaped a modern, masculine-chic look of organic forms held in place by structure. The bridesmaids wore mismatched gowns in taupe, sage, dusty blue and champagne. In the olive grove, Brit Floral kept the ceremony flowers low and grounded, with urns of branches and citrus that looked native to the property.
Dinner moved into the vines, onto custom marbled checkerboard flooring. The linens picked up the bridesmaids' tones, and the fluted white plates echoed the pleats of the dress. With the hills rising behind, the checkerboard grid and the vineyard rows gave the evening its structure. Under bistro lights, Sound Society Band carried dinner into dancing.
Then the after-party shifted indoors, and the energy turned with it. Deep orange velvet draping gave the late-night celebration a warm, dramatic contrast. It was the boldest move of the day, and it held together like everything before it: grounded tones and rich texture, with saturated color saved for last.
