American Rose Films is a motion picture wedding studio led by Justin and Steph, partners in life and work. Based in Connecticut and traveling widely, they are drawn to the art of noticing. Their films, made primarily using 16mm & Super 8mm analog film, capture the texture and feeling of a day as it unfolds. Each frame is exposed to light & developed through a chemical process. The result is a wedding film that feels like a memory. 

They approach weddings with restraint. They move quietly, observe closely, and let events unfold without interference. This creates space for people to be relaxed and themselves. The camera becomes a part of the environment, rather than the center of it.

Years of working together have shaped a shared instinct. As a married team, they understand the emotional pace of a wedding and the responsibility of documenting it. They approach each commission as a family heirloom, something meant to be returned to over a lifetime and beyond. 

American Rose Films accepts a limited number of weddings each year in the United States and abroad. They travel where the work takes them, always with the same focus. To notice carefully, document truthfully, and create films that preserve memories.
