LUX VISUAL STORYTELLERS
About LUX VISUAL STORYTELLERS
Based in Bruges, Belgium, with additional offices across the country and in Utrecht, Netherlands, Carolina Mosquera has spent over fifteen years photographing weddings the way she'd document anything worth remembering truthfully: without smoothing it over. Her work has appeared in Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Tatler, but the editorial eye isn't for the magazines, it's for the couple, so that what they're left with looks like the day actually felt. That instinct was shaped early, a youth spent in her grandfather's darkroom, watching images surface from nothing, followed by years studying sculpture and working in haute couture. Playing with form, shadow, and light is what she loves, and it's how she tells a story.
She isn't interested in perfect. She's interested in true, the atmosphere, the tension, the unposed second before someone remembers the camera is there. That's the story she's hired to tell, and it's the only one she knows how to tell.
That pursuit of truth has taken her everywhere. Japan, Australia, Iceland, Mallorca, Cuba, Greece, Italy, Austria, Sweden etc. different light, different landscape, same instinct. Wherever the wedding is, whatever the backdrop, Carolina's looking for the same thing: the moment that would have happened whether or not she was there to see it.
