Located one hour north of Truckee/Tahoe, above Sierra Valley, NE California, in the middle of Plumas National forest lies a hidden secret. We bought the ranch in pursuit of our dream; and the dream of many a homesteader. This unique 160 acre-property was initially home to Pompey Pedrini, who was granted homestead rights by President William McKinely in 1862.  Although Pompey was not interested in today’s wedding or tourist industry he fancied mining and lumber. Homeowners thereafter searched for retreat and serenity as Dr. Deepak Chopra found investment in this beautiful land and lodge tucked away from crowds, noise and light pollution! The sound of silence is deafening! Historically, present day, this land remains a homestead.
