About Modern Strings

We are a husband and wife team located in New Haven, Connecticut who have played over 1000+ weddings and hire professionals from the top orchestras in New England. As a modern couple ourselves, recently married in May of 2021, we are very familiar with the process on both sides. Modern Strings offers a variety of ensemble choices for your budget that range from a solo violinist, to an electric duo, to full string quartet. Whether you are wanting to stay classic or try something unique, our music library can offer you classical, pop, religious, film, jazz music, and more!

We believe that the modern couple, should have modern musicians that can play in a variety of styles in order to create a personalized experience for their event.
