PlanSeats was born from a real wedding planning meltdown. After spending way too many hours shuffling sticky notes and stressing about which cousins couldn't sit together, I built the tool I wished existed.

With PlanSeats, you start by creating your actual table layout: rounds, rectangles, head tables, whatever your venue needs. Then import your guest list and set up custom rules: keep the college crew together, give your partner's chatty aunt a seat near other extroverts, make sure the exes aren't within awkward eye contact.

The auto-assign feature does the heavy lifting based on your rules, getting you about 90% of the way there. From there, it's just dragging and tweaking until it feels right. And when you're ready, share your layout directly with your partner, wedding planner, or day-of coordinator so everyone's literally on the same page.

Simple enough to figure out in five minutes, powerful enough to handle a 200-person guest list without losing your mind.
