Website Privacy and Personalization

How to set password protection

  • Navigate to Website Admin > Settings.
  • Turn on Password Protection and set a password (of your choice).

Guest login verification with name or email

  • Navigate to Website Admin > Settings.
  • Turn on Login Verification, which will require your guests to login either with their Name or Email (your choice).

If you choose to set up guest login verification, you can choose whether Everyone can login or My Contacts Only. If you choose My Contacts Only then only the guests in your Contacts will be able to log into your website.

Premium RSVP Login Test with Guest Verification

Please test it on this sample website! Log into this site as "John Smith", and then navigate to the RSVP form. This is how Premium RSVPs can work with Login Verification. You'll notice the RSVP form auto-fills with all the guests in John Smith's household, and John needs to RSVP for each person in his family. Note, also, that anyone in John's family can log into the website and they will see the same RSVP form.

Language Options

Website language basics and supported languages

Most modern language characters are supported by our wedding websites, and all languages that are supported will always be displayed left-to-right (so languages that do not read left-to-right would, generally speaking, not be supported).

Also, you can use multiple languages on your site - just type in the language you want to appear.

How to create a multi-language website

To create a multi-language site simply type in the languages you want. Typically, people create one page in a language, and then the next (same) page in the other language. Then, your guests have the option to choose which language is easiest for them.

Private events and a personalized guest experience

Step 1: Populate your Contacts

  • Log into your account and go to My Account > My Contacts
  • When you select Import, you have the option to download a sample file. We recommend you follow the formatting of that file to upload your own list.

Step 2: Create Groups

Once your guest list has been uploaded, create groups that correspond to your events. So, you may have a “Welcome Party” group, or a “Rehearsal Dinner” group. Then, tag your guests with the groups (events) that they are invited to.

Step 3: Set Page and Section Permissions

At the top of each page and each section of your website there is a question that says “Who can see this page?” The default option is “everyone” (to see), so if that page or section has general information for everyone to see, leave it as “everyone”.

However, if the information or event (on your RSVP page) is private, then tag accordingly. So, if you have a page that should only be seen by the guests invited to the Rehearsal Dinner, and you set your permissions, then when your guests login to the site ONLY the guests with the Rehearsal Dinner group (in your Contacts) will be able to see that page (or section).

Step 4: Turn on Login Verification

  • Navigate to Website Admin > Settings.
  • Turn on Login Verification, which will require your guests to login either with their Name or Email (your choice).

Please note that permissions will not work if you do not have login verification turned on. If your guests do not log into your website, our system can’t know who is logging on. And, the system needs to know who logs into your site so we can match their name to your Contacts and show them the correct information.

Step 5: Test a Guest Login - IMPORTANT!

We always recommend logging into your site as if you were one of your guests. So, load your site and login using one of your guest’s names or emails, and you will see exactly what they will see. It’s a perfect way to check that everything is working the way you want it to.
