I'm a weird combination of an introvert and extrovert. I love snuggling up on the couch with my husband & babies at home and partying it up on the dance floor alongside my clients-who've-become-friends (though don't expect any remotely good dancing skills). My whole life, I've been obsessed with stories; whether by reading several books at once through grade school, majoring in English in college, or starting my photography business where I could tell stories in a visual way. It's no surprise that the heartfelt stories created from weddings drew me in to wedding photography. I am a hybrid photographer, combining the heirloom quality of film (you know, the stuff you have to send out to get developed; like back when you had those disposable cameras, except way better) with the reliability of digital. I'm also really into that beautiful, authentic romance with a side of cheesy (the lame kind, I'll just admit that straight up). I think romantic photos and laughing photos should go side by side. But here's the main reason I love wedding photography, and why you should too. Your dating story, proposal, engagement, wedding--all those are stories that will one day be told over and over again. Your wedding photos will be the only tangible reminder of your wedding day story. Those photos are the only part of your wedding that will increase in value over time. Not worldly value; personal value. One day, your kids and grandkids will pour over those photos, anxious and excited to hear about your love story. . . . again. And those photos will show just how much you two love each other.
