In 1884, Southern Canvas, a small business specializing in the manufacture of tents, awnings, tarps and other canvas products was founded to serve Nashville and its surrounding areas. It was renamed Nashville Tent & Awning Co. by owner H.G. Husband and today continues to be owned/operated by the third and fourth generations of the Husband family!
