A Closer Look
Julie and Sina didn't go outside for their garden. They brought it into Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto, where Lovelee Celebrations planted it throughout the house.
The ceremony room already had its scenery. Pastoral murals of trees and open fields ran along the walls like a stage backdrop, and Neroli Design took it from there. An arch of greenery and roses grew up around the fireplace, and wildflowers in blue, yellow, pink and deep red sprang from the floor along the aisle as though they had seeded themselves indoors. Bridesmaids in Shona Joy slip dresses of lilac, butter yellow, olive and coral looked picked from the same beds.
Dinner carried it under crystal chandeliers. Long tables in olive green velvet held dahlias and taper candles, small orange citrus tumbled across the cloth, and each table number was printed on an illustrated pear. Even at the table, the garden kept growing.
While the rest of the day brought the outside in, the cake almost did the opposite. It burst with piped ruffles of coral, pink, yellow and blue, and dahlias, amaranthus and loose stems broke out of every tier. The whole garden seemed to be pushing its way out at once.
