Hi there, I’m Lissa (like Melissa without the -Me)- I am so glad that you found our team! 

As a wedding planner, my goal is to create joy and make the planning process fun and simple so you can be fully present and enjoy your day. We emphasize the importance of the small, but impactful details in design that bring out your passion and personality and tell your unique love story. One of my favorite things about our time together is learning about your priorities, values, and what you love so your day feels exactly like YOU.

The education piece is one of my favorite parts of the process- I love walking couples through the nuances of wedding planning and all of the fun details that can go into the big day- bringing warmth, joy, and a little nostalgia into your wedding day is top of my list! Alongside my incredibly kind and talented team, we are here to make sure you feel heard and supported throughout the process because you deserve the absolute best experience possible as you plan the big day!

My planner journey began in college when I worked as a concert coordinator- wrangling missing drummers, fending off groupies, and planning after parties was a normal weekend for me. Couples often ask what some of the wildest things I have seen at weddings are, and while there are definitely a few events that come to mind, truthfully you haven’t seen wild until you’ve had to sober up a lead singer before they hop on stage in front of a crowd or try to park a 50’ tour bus because the band manager is MIA. So bring on your wild grandma who tries to steal the mic at every family wedding and your very opinionated mother-in-law- I’ve got you covered!

But how did I get into wedding planning?  In my final year of college, a friend of mine was getting married, and  I immediately jumped in to help her plan the big day. Planning her wedding quickly turned into planning her cousin’s wedding, then her cousin’s friend, the maid of honor at their wedding, and so on. I fell so deeply in love with everything from helping to choose the linens to creating a timeline, and I knew that the rush of planning events was something I would want to do for a very, very long time. I get that same feeling with every single wedding that I plan, whether we work together from the time you get engaged, or if I come in to help you tie everything together at the two month mark- I can promise you that I am (almost) as obsessed with your wedding as you are!
