About Us

         We are Lucie and Matthew, partners in life, love, and the beautiful chaos of filming weddings around the world. We grew up near the Brdy Mountains in the Czech Republic, not far from each other, but life had to take us through different cities, countries, beaches, road trips, and love stories before we understood what we were really meant to create together. We have been together for more than fifteen years, and we still believe the best stories are never perfectly planned. They happen somewhere between elegance and chaos. Between nervous hands and champagne. Between quiet looks, loud music, wild dance floors, and mornings that feel like a movie. That is exactly where we love to film. We don’t create wedding films that feel cold, slow, or overly perfect. We are drawn to movement, energy, personality, and real atmosphere, the kind of moments that make a wedding feel alive. Fast cuts. Real laughter. Wind in your hair. Music in the background. Friends losing their minds at midnight. Unexpected tears during speeches. The feeling that the whole day disappeared too quickly. But we also love elegance. The soft, almost fairytale weddings where the beauty is in the light, the silence, the details, the architecture, the dress, the way the story slowly unfolds. We love both worlds, the wild and the refined. Because every wedding has its own rhythm, every couple has its own energy. And every place has its own soul. Our job is not to force one style onto every story. Our job is to feel what makes your wedding yours and turn that into a film that still feels alive years later.

We never really chose weddings. Weddings chose us.

      Matthew began his journey in video production more than ten years ago, working across commercials, short films, travel documentaries, and advertising projects. His work received prestigious European awards, but he was always drawn to something more emotional: fashion, music, movement, and stories that feel human. Lucie brought the sensitivity, softness, and artistic feeling that shaped The Stories of Love into what it is today, not just a wedding film brand, but a way of seeing people, places, and emotions. Together, we found something in weddings that no other kind of filmmaking could give us: real people, real emotions, and once-in-a-lifetime moments that cannot be repeated. Our first big steps in the wedding world began in California in 2021. Since then, our cameras have taken us from Paris, Prague, and the South of France to Italy, Spain, Mallorca, Ibiza, Mexico, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, Mauritius, and other beautiful places around the world. Barcelona became our European home, full of Mediterranean light, sea air, and the kind of summer energy that never really leaves you. During the season, we travel across Europe. In winter, we often follow stories to warmer places around the world. And somehow, this became our life: airports, road trips, emotional speeches, elegant dinners, wild parties, soft mornings, beautiful strangers becoming unforgettable memories, and the privilege of turning it all into films.

​Where we film

        From April to November, we mainly film weddings across Europe, especially Italy, Spain, Mallorca, Ibiza, France, Switzerland, Portugal, and other destinations we fall in love with along the way. During the winter months, we open a limited number of dates for weddings outside Europe, including Mexico, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, Mauritius, Bali, the USA, and other warm places where stories feel a little different. We keep our destination packages simple, with travel already included, because planning a wedding far from home should feel exciting, not complicated.
